Diagnosis
The first visit takes up to two hours. I take a medical history and discuss any issues you may feel are affecting your health and well being. I also ask about life style habits such as diet, exercise and work. This information is needed in order to make a traditional Chinese diagnosis. I will usually also do a treatment.
Treatment
The following treatments take 45-60 minutes. I start with a short consultation, then ask my client to lie on the couch whilst I feel the pulses and choose a treatment. After that I insert very fine sterile acupuncture needles in the selected points. Some will be left in for up to 30 minutes, others will come straight out again. A sensation will be felt that is most commonly described as tingling or numbness. It is very rare that anyone experience pain. If you have concerns about this please discuss it with me.
